Which Book You Use at UG Level For medicine???

Well i use API Medicine & Devidson & George Mathew....But never used Harrison..

Lets know Your choice..

well i used to read cmdt 2006 n george mathhew during my final year...

i could not read harrison due to lack of time , bt i always found davidson just a waste of time.. i bought it n sold it to my frnd widin 1 month!!!

davidson is neither precise nor comprehensive, it just gives u a feint idea of medicine n nthing more.. more than tht its nt gud 4 exams also...

nowadays i m reading harrisons 17th n i m in luv wid it.. all d minute details r covered in a storytelling manner.. simply awesome..

so if u like to study real medicine then go 4 harrison in selective manner or try cmdt... matthew is gud 4 exams only

well currents medical diagnosis and treatment combined with washington manuals seems like a perfect combo .....

completing harrison is not difficult if u start early , i mean 3rd minor , when we have PSM ENT and Ophthal.....we do have time then .
problem is starting it late as in final yr.and i still feel that all those who want to read harrison , dont believe that it cant be completed.the most important is the 2nd volume , start with that , u can definitely finish it in 2 month.i started 2 months back and i m remaining with endocrino only
no one reads the infectious diseases and bioterrorism part , in Vol 1 [vol 1 is waste actually].
as for symptomatology , read something like Vakil golwala or P J mehta.

i used Matthew & davidson during my final year.
Harrison: to detailed so never got time .but if u want thorough info abt. a topic this is the one.
Davidson:Not very informative but excellent info boxes.so can be used as an accompaniment.

Oh Nice you have read many books..are they for reference?? & which book you have read as a textbook?

I Have used Matthew & davidson
& pj mehta for clinicals.Never use hutchisons

Hasn't anybody used Arup Kundu for Practicals? Nice book ...
CMDT's another great text..But the best book by far is Harrison..
