For all official information you should go to United States Medical Licensing Examination™ and you will be able find everything you need to know about the exam. If you are an international medical graduate and your college is listed in the WHO or IMED directory of colleges, then you can register yourself at ECFMG® | Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates.
The exam is basically 3 steps. Step 1 is basic science. Step 2 is divided into clinical knowledge and clinical skills exam. The latter has to be taken only in USA. Step 3 is taken, after completion of the previous steps, in USA.

If there is any specific question then feel free to ask.
